This Privacy Policy describes how CircuitNexus ("we", "us", or "our")
collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Android mobile application
(CircuitNexus, package name com.caneryildirim.arduinoespcloud)
and related cloud services used to connect and control Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and compatible IoT devices.
By using CircuitNexus, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Information We Collect
Account information (optional)
- If you sign in with Google, we receive your display name, email address, profile photo URL, and Firebase authentication user ID.
- We generate and store a unique server key linked to your account for device pairing and cloud access.
Device and app data
- IoT device profiles you create (device name, board type, connection type, dashboard widgets, virtual pins, and layout settings).
- Device online status, last-seen timestamps, and command data sent to your hardware through our cloud backend.
- Automation rules you configure within the app.
- App preferences such as language and theme settings stored locally on your device.
Connectivity and permissions
- Network access to communicate with Firebase and your IoT devices over Wi‑Fi or cloud relay.
- Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy data when you connect to supported boards.
- Approximate or precise location, only when required by Android for Bluetooth device discovery on certain OS versions.
AI, camera, and microphone features (optional)
- Text prompts you submit to the in-app AI assistant.
- Voice commands when you use voice control features.
- Camera images processed on-device for face detection features (using Google ML Kit). Images are not uploaded for face detection unless you explicitly use a feature that sends media to the cloud.
Technical and diagnostic data
- Firebase Analytics and crash-related metadata that help us understand app usage and improve stability.
- Push notification tokens if you allow notifications.
- Standard server logs from Firebase Cloud Functions and Realtime Database operations (timestamps, device IDs, request metadata).
Guest mode
You may use parts of the app without signing in. In guest mode, device data is stored locally on your phone
and is not synced to the cloud unless you later sign in.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide core app functionality: device dashboards, remote control, firmware delivery, and cloud sync.
- Authenticate users and link mobile apps to IoT hardware securely.
- Send commands to your devices and display live status.
- Power AI assistant features, voice parsing, and automation suggestions.
- Deliver push notifications about device events when enabled.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Improve app performance and user experience.

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
See Google Privacy Policy
and Firebase Privacy Information.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- Account-linked data is stored in Google Firebase (United States region:
us-central1) while your account and devices remain active.
- Local app data is stored in on-device storage (Room database and preferences).
- You may delete individual devices from the app. Deleting your account or requesting deletion removes associated cloud records within a reasonable period.
- Server logs may be retained for a limited time for security and operations.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only:
- With service providers (such as Google/Firebase) that help us operate the app.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or CircuitNexus.
- With your direction — for example, when you share a firmware package via email or another app.
6. Children's Privacy
CircuitNexus is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us
personal data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including Firebase Authentication, access rules, HTTPS transport,
and device pairing keys. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Permissions: You can revoke camera, microphone, Bluetooth, location, or notification permissions in Android system settings.
